Ranking the top defenses in NFL history was never going to be an easy task. There are several defenses that couldn’t make the cut, and that’s okay! Many of the teams on this list won a Super Bowl and had to carry a mediocre offense to glory. Others are still in the shadow of some of the greatest offensive players in history, and may not get the credit they deserve.
